Day 8

Thursday 15th April 2004

Today was our first day at Realogile High School. We had to get up really early so as not to miss the assembly. But, we missed the assembly because, surprise, surprise, we got lost. So, when we finally arrived we went to the staff room, lucky us. We spent ages in there and eventually we were told whom we were to go with and were taken to our classes. Some of us went to an empty class and we were supposed to be having a class but apparently the teachers were preoccupied with other business, as it was the day after the elections.

Some of us went to the same classes and our first class that we were actually taught in was geography. The teacher was very welcoming but he made us all stand up in front of the class and introduce ourselves.

For some classes, unlike our school, the teachers moved classes instead of the pupils, so we didn’t need to walk about much!

In the afternoon we went to PSE, which was really scary because the pupils and the teacher were having an argument! Demonstrating how PSE should really be! After PSE we were going to science but two of us got lost and ended up spending the last hour in the staff room.

After school we all went on a tour of Alexandra. We went to a Children’s Library, which had chickens in the garden. It had a model of the Alexandra and lots and lots and lots of paintings.

Later on we went shopping in Rosebank again. That night we went to Boticellis restaurant. There was another family in the restaurant celebrating a birthday. The boy celebrating his birthday was with his uncle who bought all of us a rose.
